Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?

We recommend calling ahead so we can confirm a time and verify your coverage, but we do our best to see new injury patients quickly, often the same or next day. A suspected fracture or a head injury should be looked at the same day. Call (631) 560-8357 and our team will find the soonest opening at the office nearest you.

How much will my visit cost?

For eligible auto-accident and work injuries, care is billed directly to your New York No-Fault or Workers’ Comp coverage, so most patients pay $0 out of pocket. Coverage depends on your policy and claim, and our intake team will review the details with you before your visit. If your coverage is exhausted or denied, ask our team about treatment on a lien.

What should I bring to my first visit?

A photo ID and your insurance information. If your injury is from a car accident, bring your auto insurance and any accident or police report you have; for a work injury, bring your employer and Workers’ Comp claim details if available. If you don’t have everything, we’ll help you sort it out.

What injuries and insurance do you handle?

We care for patients recovering from auto-accident and work-related injuries, and we accept New York No-Fault (auto) and Workers’ Comp coverage. Each location has a multi-specialty team: orthopedics, chiropractic care, physical therapy, and pain management.

I have been a patient of Dr Berns for many years (21 to be exact ) And to me that me that right there says it all ! But I will go on to tell you that when I walk into the office it’s calming and everyone there is very attentive. From Carla at the front desk that greets and and sets up your next appointment to her pleasant farewell . The girls Hedy & Clio that set you up for your treatments always greet you with a smile and Hello & how are you today ? And they go above and beyond to make you comfortable , with my back and neck issues I believe that the treatments I receive
I have been able to keep working . They offer many services from Chiropractic, Massage , acupuncture & pain management.

Unfortunately, I used to work at Amazon and was involved in a slip and fall workers comp situation that I ultimately needed to leave the job and focus on my treatment after the injury I found injury recovery MD, and they have been a breath of fresh air in this troubling process. I’m still currently undergoing treatment, and I don’t know if I’ll ever be at 100% again, but I do think that I will get there with the help from injury recovery MD and the kind staff that works at the front desk is always helpful when I call them and really nice. If you ever get hurt on the job, I totally recommend this place, the doctors here are some of the most professional I’ve ever met!

Doctor Sylvera Voskamp who is really understanding when I couldn’t make it on time. Stayed late was still able to get my physical therapy in and they’re just so nice here I originally was coming for a herniated disc after my car accident my no fault coverage for my insurance covered everything was extremely easy in terms of what I had to do. All I had to do is show up and listen to my program.
