How care is coordinated
An accident injury rarely sits inside one specialty. A patient may need imaging, an orthopedic opinion,
hands-on rehabilitation, and pain management — and needs those decisions made together rather than in
sequence across four unconnected offices.
Injury Recovery MD coordinates that care across its Long Island locations and handles the No-Fault and
Workers’ Compensation paperwork that keeps treatment authorized, so patients are not managing the
claim while they are still recovering.
What this means for you
- Multi-specialty evaluation without four separate referrals
- Board-certified physician oversight
- Rehabilitation directed by a Doctor of Physical Therapy
- No-Fault and Workers’ Comp billed directly — $0 out of pocket for covered patients

Medical team FAQ
Who will I see at my first visit?
Your first visit is an evaluation. Depending on the injury, that may be with a physician, a physical therapist, or both. The point of the first visit is to establish what is injured and to start the documentation your No-Fault or Workers’ Compensation claim will need.
Are your physicians board certified?
Dr. Adalbert Pilip is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board Certified in Cardiology. Credentials for each clinician are listed on their individual profile page.
Do I need a referral to be seen?
For most No-Fault cases you do not need a referral to be evaluated after a motor vehicle accident. Workers’ Compensation cases follow different rules depending on your employer’s carrier. Call and we will tell you what your specific claim requires.
Who reviews the medical information on this website?
Patient-education pages are reviewed by Sylvera Ann Voskamp, PT, DPT, a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy. Clinical review checks the page for accuracy; it does not diagnose any individual patient.
