Our approach to pain management
We focus on finding and treating the source of your pain, not just masking it. Depending on your diagnosis, a plan may combine physical therapy, chiropractic care, spinal decompression, modalities, and — when appropriate — interventional referrals and medication management.
Where a knotted band of muscle is holding the pain in place, trigger point injections can settle it enough for therapy to make progress.

Pain management FAQ
Is pain management just medication?
No. Our emphasis is on non-surgical, function-focused care — therapy, decompression, and modalities — with medication used judiciously when appropriate.
Is it covered after an accident or work injury?
Yes — care is billed to No-Fault or Workers’ Comp, so eligible visits are typically $0 out of pocket.
Will I be put on opioid medication?
No — the emphasis is non-surgical, function-focused care, and medication is used judiciously where appropriate rather than as the plan itself. Treatment more often centers on therapy, decompression, targeted injections when indicated, and modalities that let you participate in rehabilitation.
What kinds of injections are used?
Depending on the diagnosis, options can include image-guided epidural steroid injections for an irritated spinal nerve, joint or bursa injections, and trigger-point injections for stubborn muscle spasm. They are used to reduce pain enough that active rehabilitation can work, not as a stand-alone fix. Whether one is appropriate is decided after examination and any indicated imaging.
How is pain management different from seeing my regular doctor?
Pain management focuses specifically on identifying the structure generating the pain and treating it directly, using image-guided techniques and a rehabilitation-first plan. It is coordinated with your orthopedic, physical therapy, and chiropractic care so the treatments reinforce one another instead of running in parallel.
