Slip & Fall Injury Doctors on Long Island
A fall can cause more damage than it first appears. Our Long Island physicians
evaluate and treat slip, trip, and fall injuries, document them properly, and bill the appropriate
insurance — so your care is $0 out of pocket.

Why prompt care matters
Adrenaline can mask pain after a fall, and injuries like concussions and disc problems can have
delayed symptoms. An early evaluation catches hidden injuries and creates the medical record your
claim relies on.
A fall on someone else’s property may be handled as a personal-injury matter.
Either way, we evaluate and treat your injuries and complete the documentation your claim needs.

Slip & fall FAQ
Who pays for my treatment after a slip and fall?
A fall at work is generally covered by Workers’ Compensation; a fall on another party’s property
may be handled as a personal-injury matter. We treat your injuries and document them either way.
Should I see a doctor if I only feel a little sore?
Yes. Fall injuries can have delayed symptoms, and early evaluation protects both your health and
your record.
Do I need a lawyer to be treated?
No. You can be evaluated and treated without one. If you have an attorney, we coordinate the
documentation they request.
I did not report the fall right away — is it too late to get treated?
No. You can be evaluated and treated regardless of when the fall was reported, and delayed symptoms are common after a fall. It is still worth notifying the property manager or your employer and asking for an incident report, and telling your clinician the date and circumstances so the medical record reflects what happened.
What should I bring to my first visit after a fall?
Bring photo ID and your insurance information, any employer or incident-report paperwork, your attorney’s details if you have one, and any discharge papers or imaging from an emergency room or urgent care. A short written account of how the fall happened and what hurt first is useful too. Our team takes the claim paperwork and coverage verification from there.

Two injuries we see often after a fall
A fall from height landing on the feet drives force through the heel and midfoot, which is how a broken foot or heel happens. A missed step off a curb or a stair can snap the Achilles instead: see torn Achilles tendon.
Paying for treatment after a fall
A fall on someone else’s property runs through a liability claim rather than No-Fault, so there is often no insurer paying as you go. Treatment can sometimes proceed under a letter of protection or on a lien.
